HYDERABAD: An All India Services officer's daughter was caught driving a sedan under the influence of alcohol at Jubilee Hills in the early hours of Saturday.
At 1.30am on Saturday, traffic police intercepted a Honda City (TS09ET 2000) on Road Number 36, Jubilee Hills. Police noticed that above the front registration number, another plate displaying 'District Revenue Officer & Additional District Magistrate' was affixed.
The woman driver, B Geetanjali, identified herself as daughter of an AIS officer working in
Andhra Pradesh, refused to undergo breath analyzer test.
With the assistance of woman constables, cops shifted her to Jubilee Hills police station and subjected her to undergo breath analyzer test, which showed her blood alcohol content was 148 mg/100 ml.
Police seized the car and registered a petty case under Section 70-B of the City Police Act apart from booking her under section 185 of the MV (drunken driving) Act.
