The show was put together in nine months and was completed on May 6, he said. Based on the tale Borasura, the wicked magician who tries to put Goddess Kushali in trouble through his diversionary tactics, the expedition in the tunnel takes the visitor through an enticing labyrinth, snake belly, fire, lava pit, Borasura’s casket, a waterfall which reflects Borasura’s face, cave of ice, boxing bags, scary bookshelves and paper ghosts.
Covering an area of 7,200 sq ft, the trip through the world of make-believe takes about 20 minutes. Nine emergency exits have been put up at different corners and if a group gets jittery, assistants dressed in fancy costumes come to their aid flashing emergency lights.
The entry fee, which includes a thrill ride and a walkthrough of Krupalu cave, is Rs 200 for adults and Rs 150 for children in the age group of 3 to 12 years.
Normally the Ramoji Film City remains open from 9.30 am to 6 pm but this summer it will be open from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm, he said.
