HYDERABAD: Traffic police personnel, including a sub-inspector of police and five constables, were questioned by DCP (Central Zone) M Madhusudhan Reddy on Tuesday on Sunday's incident in which a youngster, Syed Sharif, crashed into a road-divider and later succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Mohammed Baba, an eyewitnesses to the incident, was also questioned.
On Sunday, Syed Sharif crashed into a road-divider after a traffic police constable tried to stop him. The constable allegedly struck the handlebar of Sharif's motorcycle with a baton, resulting in the fatal accident at Khairatabad. Police are tightlipped about the identity of the traffic cops involved in the incident. Sources said SI Yadagiri Swamy and five constables were on duty at the place where the accident took place. Meanwhile, the condition of Mohsin, who was pillion riding on the vehicle, is still stated to be critical.
