HCA Leagues: Ganesh hammers quickfire triple century to put Mahboobnagar on top

HYDERABAD: G Ganesh was at his brutal best as he slaughtered the WMCC on way to a triple century for Mahboobnagar District in the HCA’s A-2 Division (2-day) League Championship, here on Tuesday.
Batting first, Mahboobnagar ran up a massive 658 with Ganesh in a murdering mood. The batsman faced 192 balls to reach 329 with the help of 40 boundaries and 15 over it.Abid too made merry with a 69-ball 110 (13x6, 6x6). G Titas took five for 135 for WMCC.
Amit Kumar’s all-round show helped Khalsa post a 184-run win over Sayi Satya. Batting first, Khalsa ran up 383 thanks to Amith’s 73-ball 120 (11x4, 8x6). In reply, Sayi Satya could manage to reach 199 as Amith finished with figures of five for 32.
Shazaib Khan and Rishiket Sisodia put Budding Star on way to a huge victory against Nalgonda District. Shazaib restricted Nalgonda to a modest 193 with a six for 69 haul. Then Rishiket struck an unbeaten century (126) to take Budding Start to 154 for no loss. They still need 40 more for victory.
Kamal Sawariya took five wickets to fashion Charminar CC’s 212-run win over Saleemnagar. Batting first, Charminar made 286 despite M Vasiuddin taking six for 96. In reply, Saleemnagar were bundled out for 74 as Kamal took five for 28.
Sai ton sets up DPS win
Sai Prachothan struck a century to set up Delhi Public School’s (Nacharam) 175-run win over Vignan Vidyalaya in the U-16 Inter-Schools League-cum-Knock-out Championship.
Left-handed Sai made 110 (125b; 7x4) in DPS’ 299 for five. In reply, Vignan were bowled out for 124.
