Hyderabad: Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan of the Telangana high court on Friday dismissed a plea filed by Indu Syam Prasad Reddy, an accused in the quid pro quo case, seeking exemption from court appearances before the CBI court in Hyderabad.
The judge however, asked the accused to file specific applications before trial court seeking permission whenever he has pressing needs to attend to other works. Indu Projects, Indu Techzone, SPR Properties, Bhumi Real Estate Investments are represented by him. He sought an exemption from court appearances in all cases. In 2008, the united AP government had granted 9,000 acres land in Anantapur to Lepakshi Knowledge Hub, a firm floated by Indu Syam Prasad Reddy. Syam Prasad Reddy raised over 1,000 crore loan, diverted it to other purposes, chargesheet alleged.
If you are unable to appear before trial court, file plea informing about it, CJ said and dismissed plea. TNN
