HC breather for Ramoji Film City
Justice V Eshwariah of the Andhra Pradesh High Court suspended 10 individual notices given to Usha Kiron Movies and others for the closure of nearly 27 structures of the Ramoji Film City.
The judge made the interim order on a batch of writ petitions filed by Usha Kiron Films and others challenging the order of the district panchayat officer, Ranga Reddy district.
The panchayat officer issued a show-cause notice for closure of about 29 structures on the ground that the constructions were in violation of the building Rules of 2002 and also hazardous to public.
The petitioners alleged mala fide intentions behind the orders issued against them .
It was further contended that the constructions were made prior to 2002 and as such the officer had no jurisdiction to issue the notice.
