HC-appointed lawyer to scan Koti hosp infra

Hyderabad: Telangana high court on Friday said it would prefer to verify the veracity of the official claims that there was huge improvement of infrastructure at Koti women’s hospital and entrusted the task of verifying it to K Kiranmayi, an advocate of the high court.A bench of Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice CV Bhaskar Reddy made this interim order and posted the case to December 16 for reviewing the situation. The HC, it can be recalled, took up the plight of pregnant women and new mothers in the hospital as a PIL had sought answers from the state nd its health machinery. Though no improvements were made at the hospital, the officials in the past tried to paint a rosy picture. tnn
