Green India Challenge to adopt 1,000 acres in Kondagattu

In a bid to develop green cover in Kondagattu temple area, Green India Challenge (GIC) will adopt more than 1,000 acres of Kondagattu area for forest development. GIC founder and Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar on Thursday announced the area will be adopted on the occasion of CM KCR's birthday on Friday.

HYDERABAD: In a bid to develop green cover in Kondagattu temple area, Green India Challenge (GIC) will adopt more than 1,000 acres of Kondagattu area for forest development. GIC founder and Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar on Thursday announced the area will be adopted on the occasion of CM KCR's birthday on Friday.
He said that a total of 1,094 acres of land has been adopted, of which 752 acres is in Kodimyala reserve forest's compartment 684, and 342 acres in compartment 685.

In the first phase, MP said 1 crore will be allotted to develop green cover. The MP said that the remaining works will be completed in phases.tnn
