The government on Monday announced the Pratibha Rajeev awards for the year 2006, 2007 and 2008 to eminent personalities who excelled in their fields.

HYDERABAD: The government on Monday announced the Pratibha Rajeev awards for the year 2006, 2007 and 2008 to eminent personalities who excelled in their fields.
For the year 2006, awards will be given to N Krishnamurthy music, Dasharatha Rangacharya literature, Bapu and Sri Ramana painting, Pattapagalu Venkatrao social service and Rajeshwari Sainath for rural art forms.

For the year 2007, the award winners are: Neti Ramamurthy music, Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani literature, Nalluri Venkateshwarlu Drama, Swati Somnath rural arts and Rahamatullah Khan research.
For the year 2008, the winners are: Revati Ratnaswami music, Karnati Lakshminarsaiah drama, Chetavolu Ramabrahmam literature, G L Rao research, Snehalata Murali rural art forms and V Srinivas mimicry. They will be given a cash prize of Rs 50,000, momento and a certificate.
