HYDERABAD: The Union home ministry on Friday finalized the names of Salahuddin Ahmed, former IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, and Anami Narayan Roy, former IPS officer from Maharashtra, as advisors to Andhra Pradesh governor ESL Narasimhan.

AN Roy was former Mumbai police commissioner and Maharashtra DGP. Both the names were cleared by the Prime Minister's Office on Friday and the appointment orders are to be issued shortly. These two were selected as advisors from a panel of 25 names, sources said.
Rajiv Sharma, additional secretary, home, and 1982 batch AP cadre IAS officer has been appointed as special representative to governor representing the government of India.
