GMC told to stop demolitions

guntur: minister for municipal administration n md farooq has directed the guntur municipal corporation (gmc) to stop demolition drive till further instructions. farooq intervened in the matter as tdp leaders from guntur, mla ziauddin and civil supplies minister kodela siva prasad rao and former minister rathaiah sought the minister’s help. minister for civil supplies kodela siva prasad rao and local mla ziauddin reportedly told farooq the image of the government and the party would be tarnished if the gmc was allowed to continue the drive.it may be recalled that the gmc had started a demolition drive on illegal constructions two days ago.
