Girl crushed under water tanker

HYDERABAD: A Class IV student, A Radhika, 8, was run over by a water tanker in Neredmet on Wednesday afternoon.
At around 12.30 pm, Radhika, a student of the Government Primary School, was on her way to have lunch at her house in Bhagath Singh Nagar when a speeding water tanker hit her near a temple in Old Neredmet area. The girl died on the spot, Neredmet inspector K Venkat Reddy told TOI.
The driver fled from the spot after the incident.The girl's father A Yadaiah, who is a mason, lodged a complaint at the Neredmet police station against the tanker driver. A case was registered under Section 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC.
