Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner D Ronald Ross on Friday directed officials to take measures to restore heritage structures in the Old City.
Ronald Ross along with the secretary of the Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority Shankar Lal and GHMC officials visited a few heritage sites – Darulshifa (old erstwhile MCH office), Sardar Mahal, Charminar Old bus stand, Murgi Chowk and Khursheed Jah Devdi.
The officials visited the proposed bridge near Salar Jung Museum. The bridge will be developed with ₹40 crore, said GHMC chief.
Ronald Ross directed the officials to complete restoration works of Murgi Chowk and Sardar Mahal soon. He also asked the officials to prepare a proposal for the restoration of the Charminar old bus stand and complete the tender process. tnn
