GHMC chief inspects Parade Ground

HYDERABAD: Janardhan Reddy, the commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Coporation (GHMC) inspected the Parade Ground on Tuesday to check preparations ahead of the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations.
He also looked at several water stagnation points opposite Nandini Hotel in Begumpet. The stagnation had been caused after a storm water drain was damaged when metro pillars were being laid.Reddy further inspected the water stagnation point at Oliphanta Bridge and checked the construction of sumps for collecting rain water. Reddy visited a playground at Mailardevpally, which was earlier used to dump debris and garbage. "Now, it has been developed into a playground at a cost of 50 lakh," he said.
