Gang peddling ganja busted in Suryapet

Hyderabad: Suryapet district police busted a ganja peddling gang and seized 1.5 kg contraband, worth 3,000, from their possession on Monday. They also arrested Roshan Kumar Singh, T Murugesh and Mohammed Amjad Pasha.
Suryapet superintendent of police BK Rahul Hegde said that the ganja was seized from the trio. All three of them were earlier involved in ganja-related cases in different parts of the state, he added.
Roshan was arrested by the Bhadradri Kothagudem police while he was transporting ganja from Bhadrachalam Agency area. While in prison, he met the other accused, who were also arrested in ganja-related cases.
After coming out of prison, they teamed up and started peddling the narcotic. As there was strict surveillance in Bhadrachalam Agency area, Roshan started producing ganja from the area near Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh.
Recently, he had bought five kg of ganja and supplied it users in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, he came to hand over the ganja to his associates in Suryapet Town. Acting on a tip off, police caught the trio and seized the 1.5 kg ganja from their possession. The trio was produced before court and sent to judicial custody.
