Gali Janardhan Reddy, the prime accused in the illegal mining case, Thursday filed a plea with the CBI court seeking a two-day interim bail order to enable him to attend charity events in Bellary on the eve of his mother’s death anniversary on December 31.

HYDERABAD: Gali Janardhan Reddy, the prime accused in the illegal mining case, Thursday filed a plea with the CBI court seeking a two-day interim bail order to enable him to attend charity events in Bellary on the eve of his mother’s death anniversary on December 31.
“Send me there under police escort for two days and I will be back after attending to the rituals,” he said in his plea and during the video conference he had with special judge B Nagamaruthi Sarma.

The judge posted the hearing in the plea to Friday.
Meanwhile, the judicial custodies of Gali, associate BV Srinivas Reddy and VD Rajagopal in the Obulapuram Mining Company case and Koneru Prasad in the Emaar case has been extended till January 12.
During the video conference, Koneru Prasad, too, leveled certain allegations against CBI officials whom he charged with harassing him.
