Former TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash appears for police questioning
Hyderabad: Former TV9 CEO V Ravi Prakash on Tuesday appeared before the Cyberabad police for questioning as part of the investigation into two cases registered against him. Ravi Prakash had approached the Supreme Court seeking anticipatory bail in the cases. On Monday, the Supreme Court refused to grant anticipatory bail to Ravi Prakash but asked the Telangana high court to hear his bail plea afresh on merit on June 10.

The Supreme Court also directed Ravi Prakash to cooperate with the police investigations. Following the apex court’s directions, Ravi Prakash appeared before the investigation officer of Cyber Crime police station in Cyberabad. They have registered two different criminal cases against Ravi Prakash, for allegedly forging documents. The cases were registered on April 24 and April 30 based on complaints lodged by P Kaushik Rao, of Alanda Media & Entertainments Private Ltd.
Subseuquently, Banjara Hills Police also registered a case of forgery against Ravi Prakash and two others based on the complaint by Kaushik Rao. “Ravi Prakash has appeared for questioning in relation to the two cases registered against him. If required, he will again be called for questioning,” Cyberabad commissioner V C Sajjanar said.
