“Many of us don't even remember where in Rajasthan our families hail from. This is our ho me now,“ explained So hanlal Kadel, a member of the community, highlighting their successful assimilation into the city's social fabric.
Shedding light on the local sentiment towards Marwaris, Kadel who runs an insurance brokerage firm said, “Hyderabad has been very accepting. We have always felt loved here.“ Blending into the cosmopolitan city , however, hasn't come without a price for Marwaris, who have witnessed the gradual death of their language with younger generations increasingly shifting to Hindi.
Marwaris have diversified beyond their initial role as financial advisers to establish their presence in every industry. “We are important players in most industries, be it food, jewellery , education or banking,“ said Mr Laxminiwas Sharma, former president of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI).
“We believe that it's our duty to give back to the society what we received our success from,“ said Kadel, revealing as the key to the Marwari community's success.

Learn from them foolish illiterate Andhra's who came in 1956 only to be sent packing in 2014 all because they never cared to integrate into the society here unlike all other migrants. There are various associations of all communities like Bangla Samiti, Agarwal Samiti, Marwadi Yuva Manch, Kannada Sangha, Maharashtra mandal, SICA of Tamilians, Sindhi society, Gujarati Mandal etc but none for Andhra's as they cant and won't get along with any one including themselves divided on caste lines. These Andhra's thought they only inhabit entire GHMC and that the Andhra party will protect them from assault etc by T people and TRS post division and al that went kaput after the Andhra party got punctured in the GHMC polls. In fact the majority that is non Andhra's which make up GHMC voted enmasse for the TRS & MIM and that's the way it will be in future too here. See the recognition the others get eg Prem Singh Rathod is big boss of Govts Musi river development board. Andhra's should know they came here uninvited and thus went away unseen too. If only the Andhra ruling class had honoured the agreements of 1956 and not demeaned Telanganites they would not have been in the pathetic situation that they are in today as AP is the only state with no capital no nothing.Read allPost comment
