Hyderabad: A fire broke out at a liquor shop on Raj Bhavan Road in the Somajiguda area early on Saturday morning, reportedly due to a short circuit. No injuries or casualties were reported.According to fire department officials, the blaze started around 6.45 am inside a refrigerator and freezer unit, allegedly caused by an electrical short circuit. The flames quickly spread, causing minor damage to the equipment and some stored items.

Fire personnel rushed to the scene soon after receiving the alert and brought the fire under control within 10 to 15 minutes, preventing it from spreading further.Assistant divisional fire officer (ADFO) GV Prasad said the prompt response by the fire crew helped contain the fire quickly. The estimated property loss was around 50,000. An inspection was carried out to ensure there was no risk of the fire reigniting.
