Fanatics, which currently employs over 22,000 people across more than 80 locations, also plans to move into a much larger facility in Hitech City by 2026, Matthias Spycher, Interim Chief Technology Officer, Fanatics, said on Thursday.

“We have a growth plan to double the headcount over the next 24 months, focusing on engineering, data scientists, and so on. Our holding company and our sister companies may also expand into Hyderabad, so the capacity of the new building could be like a mixed-use case facility. Our holding company might bring a different function to Hyderabad,” said Spycher.

Spycher also announced the appointment of Abhishek Dhasmana as Vice President and General Manager to lead its Hyderabad office. Dhasmana was earlier heading Indeed’s India development centre as Site Head.

Fanatics opened its first technology innovation centre in India at Hyderabad in 2018 as part of its efforts to grow its technology, data, and analytics capabilities.
