HYDERABAD: Task Force sleuths busted a fake IMEI number generating racket and arrested three persons on Tuesday. They also foiled a murder conspiracy by arresting two history-sheeters at Falaknuma.
Police arrested Mohammed Amer of Mir Chowk, Md Ali Pasha from Santosh Nagar and Tariq Jameel Khan from Falaknuma, who were sales persons at mobile stores in Jagdish market at Abids.

Acting on a tip-off, Task Force sleuths raided the work space of the trio at Bhavani Nagar on Tuesday and nabbed them.
Police seized two desktops, two software tool boxes, a Samsung professional tool box, an Advanced Turbo Flasher, a universal flasher, six cellphones and other softwares used by the accused to change the IMEI numbers on stolen cellphones.
According to police, Tariq used to bring stolen cellphones to Amer and with the help of Ali, would change their IMEI numbers and sell it to innocent customers. The arrested persons along with the seized property were handed over to Bhavani Nagar police for further probe.
