Extra tents, coolers for Eid this year

Charminar: Telangana State Waqf Board chairman Mohammed Saleem, along with Bahadurpura MLA Mauzam Khan and officials concerned, on Monday took stock of the preparations being carried out at Mir Alam Eid for the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers.
Talking to reporters, Mohammed Saleem said all possible arrangements will be made for the devotees. “Due to the scorching heat, extra tents will be put up and additional coolers will be placed.GHMC, water works, electricity and police department officials have been asked to make sure devotees get good facilities. The prayers will be offered at 10 am and Maulana Rizwan Quereshi will lead the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers,” said Saleem.
Taking strong exception to the absence of TSWB CEO, MIM MLA Mauzam Khan urged TSWB to ensure proper arrangements at the Eidgah. “The Board should have ensured preparations for Eid UL-Fitr prayers are on track, but its CEO disappears within minutes. Also, GHMC should take note of the garbage and debris in and around the Eidgah,” Mauzam Khan added.
During the visit, officials of South Zone police, GHMC, Transco, and water works were present.
