Escaped vehicle thief nabbed

HYDERABAD: Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths arrested a fugitive who escaped from escort police at the Government Chest Hospital at Erragadda a fortnight ago.
Acting on credible information, CCS sleuths arrested vehicle thief P Chinna Yellaiah from Madhura Nagar in the early hours of Wedensday. Yellaiah, who is an accused in 70 burglary and theft cases, is a city dossier criminal of Jubilee Hills police station.
Yellaiah was arrested by SR Nagar police in burglary and theft cases a few months ago and remanded in Chanchalguda prison. On June 5, he was taken to Andhra Pradesh Chest Hospital at Erragadda for TB treatment. While undergoing treatment, he gave the slip to the escort constables when he was allowed to attend nature's call on June 12. CCS police arrested Yellaiah from his hideout in Madhura Nagar in the wee hours of Wednesday and remanded in judicial custody.
