HYDERABAD: Comic Con India, the biggest pop culture event in the country, is all set to bring together Hyderabad's comic book, manga, anime and superhero movie enthusiasts once again.
This year, for the first time, the even in the city will be spread over three days — Nov 15 to 17 — at the HITEX Exhibition Centre and will see popular Indian and international artistes sharing their insights into pop culture.
Jatin Varma, founder of Comic Con India, said, "The overwhelming passion of fans has inspired us to expand the event and create more exciting experiences with a wider range of activities for everyone to enjoy. This will be our biggest Hyderabad event yet, showcasing the best of Indian comics, immersive fan activities, cosplay, gaming, geeky shopping and much more."
Fans can expect sessions around Amar Chitra Katha, Raj Comics, Crunchyroll with leading Indian and international creators. Attendees can also look forward to stand-up performances from comedians like Harsh Gujral, Azeem Banatwalla, Ravi Gupta and city's very own Sayed Bashaar, followed by performances from Daisuki Cosplay Band, Geek Fruit, Hip Hop artist Karan Kanchan and others.
This year's event will also host DreamHack, which promises to be the ultimate fusion of gaming and pop culture. The event will also offer fans fandom hauls, gaming tournaments, e-sports competitions, BYOD zones.
