HYDERABAD: Considering that the voters of Huzurnagar have endorsed TRS’s policies by electing party candidate Saidi Reddy with a thumping majority, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to take an aggressive approach in implementing his plans and also dealing with various issues.
Hours after the results, the TRS president had shown his aggressive streak by attacking the opposition parties and also RTC unions at the press conference.

He also expressed his intentions to bring in reforms in the revenue department.
Emboldened KCR to go the whole hog

The TRS president was obviously overwhelmed by the mandate as Huzurnagar had been a Congress stronghold in the last two decades. Secondly, the party got a massive win, which the leadership was not sure of — TRS working president KT Rama Rao was hinting at 20,000 vote majority — till Thursday’s verdict. “The party will hold a thanksgiving public meeting in a couple of days at Huzurnagar. The government will announce decisions on all the issues and grievances of the people in the meeting,” KCR said at the press conference.
Following the victory, the TRS president indicated he would deal with the issues without any compromise. He advised the opposition parties to change their mindset in the wake of Huzurnagar byelection results. KCR said despite opposition parties resorting to allegations and mudslinging against TRS, people reposed their faith in the TRS government.
He said BJP made false allegations on the government. “Even they alleged that my chopper should be checked and the parties tried to see that the election should be put off, but they were not successful.”

The party leadership deployed ministers, MPs and MLAs to Huzurnagar taking it as a prestigious election and took the government schemes to the doorsteps of the people.
Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the government has already brought two important Panchayat Raj and Municipalities Acts. Next in line is revenue Act for giving flawless, transparent and non-corrupt administration to provide conclusive titles to people, he said. He said though some unions were claiming that village revenue officers would be removed once the new Act comes, they would, however, be accommodated in other departments. He said he would also tour tribal villages to resolve podu land issues. KCR said he would go to Gulf countries to invite migrant workers back to Telangana.
