Secondly, the party got a massive win, which the leadership was not sure of — TRS working president KT Rama Rao was hinting at 20,000 vote majority — till Thursday’s verdict. “The party will hold a thanksgiving public meeting in a couple of days at Huzurnagar. The government will announce decisions on all the issues and grievances of the people in the meeting,” KCR said at the press conference.
Following the victory, the TRS president indicated he would deal with the issues without any compromise. He advised the opposition parties to change their mindset in the wake of Huzurnagar byelection results. KCR said despite opposition parties resorting to allegations and mudslinging against TRS, people reposed their faith in the TRS government.
He said BJP made false allegations on the government. “Even they alleged that my chopper should be checked and the parties tried to see that the election should be put off, but they were not successful.”
The party leadership deployed ministers, MPs and MLAs to Huzurnagar taking it as a prestigious election and took the government schemes to the doorsteps of the people.
Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the government has already brought two important Panchayat Raj and Municipalities Acts. Next in line is revenue Act for giving flawless, transparent and non-corrupt administration to provide conclusive titles to people, he said. He said though some unions were claiming that village revenue officers would be removed once the new Act comes, they would, however, be accommodated in other departments. He said he would also tour tribal villages to resolve podu land issues. KCR said he would go to Gulf countries to invite migrant workers back to Telangana.
