Navdeep was served a notice under CrPC Section 41A after the Telangana high court granted him anticipatory bail.
An ED source stated, "We have summoned him in connection with the old Tollywood drug trafficking case. We will also incorporate the current case into it. Navdeep has been summoned twice, but he failed to appear before us."
The Enforcement Directorate is probing the money laundering angle in the 2017 drug scandal based on the chargesheets filed by the excise departments in 12 drug cases. Earlier, the ED had questioned Tollywood actors Navdeep, Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Charmee Kaur, Mumaith Khan, Tanish, Nandu, and Tarun. The case revolves around key accused in the drug case, Calvin Mascarenhas, and others.
