Hyderabad: The election authorities plan to have more polling booths for the Lok Sabha polls next year in areas which recorded large turnout during assembly elections.
As per the new guidelines, wherever there are more than 1,450 voters an additional booth will be set up.
Chief electoral officer (CEO), Telangana, Vikas Raj has asked all district authorities to start enrolment of new voters who turn 18 on January 1.
The enrolment of new voters will begin on December 20. The final revision of voters list will be announced on February 8.
The CEO held a video conference with district collectors on December 12. TNN
