HYDERABAD: Urging Telangana supporters to observe restraint till a formal announcement is made by the Centre on the contentious issue, chief minister K Rosaiah on Sunday took objection to the dharnas in front of his house and that of his cabinet colleagues' by those against the AP Formation Day celebrations.
Rosaiah told reporters that as long as the state is united, they are duty-bound to celebrate November 1.

"It has been our tradition to celebrate November 1 since 1956. There are many who want a separate state. I am neither finding fault with them nor objecting to their efforts. But their efforts should be democratic and not lead to hostility," he observed.
"All supporters of Telangana must wait till the Centre takes a decision on the Srikrishna Committee's report," he said.
He reiterated that any decision of the Centre on the issue would be binding on them. "We cannot have street fights,'' he said.
Rosaiah's cabinet colleagues K Venkat Reddy and G Venkat Reddy took a similar line saying they had to celebrate the state formation day as long as the state is united. "No individual or organisation's will can prevail on the people of this state. We will have to attend the official function as long as the state remains Andhra Pradesh," they said.
