Driver gets 3-month jail for 2013 accident in Telangana

HYDERABAD: A local court sentenced an oil tanker driver to three months of jail on Thursday for causing the death of a sub-inspector in a road accident in 2013 at Kethepally in Nalgonda district.

On October 26 2013, an oil tanker hit SI Ramulu Naik, who was on traffic duty in relation to YSRCP's public meeting at Inupamula junction in Kethepally, said Nalgonda SP Apoorva Rao, adding that the cop suffered fatal injuries during the accident.

A case was registered against the driver R Apparao of Pithapuram in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. tnn
