HYDERABAD: Members of Darsgah-Jihad-O-Shahadat were booked by Dabeerpura police early on Wednesday for staging a
protest against the Bhoomi Poojan at
Ayodhya and raising slogans in favour of Turkey’s Hagia Sophia mosque. The general secretary of the group, Salahuddin Affan, has also been taken into judicial custody. Police registered a case against the protesters for creating enmity between two religious groups.
Cops alleged that actions of DJS activists were prejudicial to the maintenance of public order and could cause disturbance to the public tranquility. DJS President M.A. Majid,and others have been booked.
