Criminal case filed against Congress leader Keshav Rao’s grandson in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Congress leader K Keshav Rao’s grandson was booked in a criminal case after he was involved in an accident at Jubilee Hills on Sunday afternoon.

Sources in the Banjara Hills police said that 21-year-old Vashisht Dhruv allegedly caused an accident under the influence of alcohol while driving the car from KBR Park to Jubilee Hills Checkpost. When the signal turned red at the Jubilee Checkpost, a goods carrier, carrying LPG cylinders, stopped. Vashisht rammed the vehicle from the rear, police said.

On learning about the accident, police reached the spot and suspected that Dhruv might be drunk. He was taken to the police station, and the car was seized. When he was subjected to an alcohol test, he reportedly tested positive.

He was booked for negligence and let off after being served a notice.
