CPI against ‘one nation one election’

Hyderabad: CPI national secretary K Narayana on Friday alleged that PM Narendra Modi-led BJP government has brought to the forefront the contentious issue of ‘one nation, one election’ only to divert the attention of the people from its failures. The CPI is opposed to the ‘one nation, one election’ proposal as it contradicts the spirit of federalism. The BJP is resorting to such tactics out of fear of the growing popularity of the INDIA alliance.
