Court dismisses plea for custody of Ravi Prakash

Hyderabad: A local court in Nampally on Tuesday dismissed the plea of the Hyderabad police seeking custody of

channel’s former CEO V Ravi Prakash. His counsel Pradyumna Kumar Reddy told the court that the scribe was granted anticipatory bail by the HC in a related case and was also appearing before court regularly as part of fulfilling the bail conditions.

The arguments, being made by police in support of their fresh FIR in which they arrested Ravi Prakash, were all rendered before the High Court earlier during the hearing of the anticipatory bail plea, he said. The scribe’s plea to quash the FIR too would come up for hearing before the HC soon, he said. Ravi Praksh is currently lodged at Chanchalguda jail after his arrest in a case filed by the current TV9 management.
