Court acquits Hasan Ali in passport case

Hyderabad: The Pune-based stud farm owner Hasan Ali, who was booked for allegedly obtaining passport through fraudulent means, was acquitted by Nampally criminal court on Thursday. The verdict was given by XII Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge citing lack of evidence produced by Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths. The original passport of Hasan Ali was allegedly impounded by Hyderabad police in 1996. In 2011 a case was registered against Hasan Ali for allegedly obtaining a passport by claiming to be a resident of Banjara Hills. TNN
