HYDERABAD: Facing opposition from parents to their relationship, a young couple in love tried to end their lives by jumping from the third floor of a building in the temple town of Yadagirigutta on Tuesday. The couple, who survived despite severe injuries was rushed to a hospital.

on September 28 and took shelter in different places since then. “They came to Yadadri on Tuesday afternoon in search of a place to stay. At around 7 pm, they jumped from Sri Chakra Complex. The couple received injuries to

and fractured their legs. Luckily, they did not receieve head injuries,” inspector

said.

They were first shifted to

Bhongir

government hospital and later to Gandhi Hospital. The couple who are neighbours, are out of danger. Police said that families of both victims registered missing complaints in Alwal police station on the day they eloped.
