Couple jumps into lake leaving kids behind

HYDERABAD: A couple on Friday night jumped into Hussainsagar, leaving behind their two children on the Tank Bund.
The couple, who is yet to be identified, came to the Tank Bund along with two children ��� one-year-old Sweeti and three-year-old Chetan ��� by an autorickshaw at around 8 pm. The woman removed her mangalasutram and reportedly handed over it to her son before jumping into the lake along with her husband.
A Rakshak team reached the spot after a traffic jam on the Tank Bund and took care of the two children.
"I saw the children weeping in the police vehicle near the Lepakshi emporium and rushed to their rescue,"said Tejdeep Kaur Menon.
