Congress pushing state into debt trap: T BJP chief
Hyderabad: BJP state president N Ramchander Rao alleged that the Congress govt was pushing the state into further debt and burdening people in the name of development. He said it was following in the footsteps of the earlier BRS govt, which faced allegations of commissions, corruption and political arrogance.Addressing a party meeting at Manneguda on Saturday, where several leaders and workers from other parties joined the BJP, Rao said citizens, especially the youth, were now looking towards the BJP with hope.“In Telangana, people have witnessed firsthand how the Congress and BRS exploited the state. Under the guise of new projects, detailed project reports worth thousands of crores are being prepared, prioritising personal interests over public welfare, which people are observing,” he said.Rao said educated individuals, intellectuals, youth and women were observing the corruption-free governance provided by the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past 12 years. “Narendra Modi has emerged not only as a leader who tirelessly works for the country but also as a symbol of corruption-free governance,” he said.Inspired by this, people were recognising the governance provided by BJP govts across the country, he added.
The BJP state president also alleged that the Congress govt had completely failed in the procurement of farmers’ produce. “The BJP is demanding that the state govt stop deceiving farmers and immediately expedite the procurement process at centres across the state by implementing the promises made,” he added.
