Congress sure of bagging 13 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana

HYDERABAD: Based on survey reports and feedback from ministers, constituency in-charges and key leaders, the Congress is confident of winning 13 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana. Chief minister A Revanth Reddy held a meeting with leaders at his residence-cum-camp office on Tuesday and discussed the winning prospects of the party. The Congress leadership has set a target of winning 14 seats.

“Congress is confident of winning 13 LS seats. The LS elections will see the vote share of the Congress going up from 39.4% in 2023 assembly polls to 44% or 45%,” said a leader privy to the meeting. The survey reports and feedback revealed that Congress has good chances of winning Nalgonda, Bhongir, Khammam, Warangal (SC reserved), Mahabubabad (ST reserved), Peddapalli (SC reserved), Nagarkurnool (SC reserved), Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Zahirabad, Chevella and Secunderabad, said a Congress leader.

The list does not have Malkajgiri which was represented by A Revanth Reddy before he went on to become CM. tnn
