on Sunday said he was unable to understand why people were voting for
TRS in election after election despite the ruling party not fulfilling a substantial number of promises made by it.
“We need to study the reasons behind people voting in favour of TRS. One of the factors that worked in favour of TRS is its distribution of money and liquor, but this alone would not be enough to win over 100 urban local bodies,” the
Congress MLA said.
Stating that the resolve of Congress gets strengthened with every election, he said the grand old party would work hard to come to power in the 2023 Assembly elections. “The Congress has given a tough contest to TRS in a large number of ULBs. TRS won with small margins in many municipalities,” he added.
Jayaprakash Reddy popularly known as Jagga Reddy, congratulated municipal minister KT Rama Rao for leading TRS to huge victory in the municipal polls and lauded finance minister T Harish Rao for winning both municipalities in Sangareddy, an Assembly constituency represented by him.
