HYDERABAD: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday dedicated the gold-plated ‘Vimana Gopuram' to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Yadagirigutta in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
Before the dedication ceremony, the CM, along with his wife Geetha, participated in the Maha Kumbhabhishek Samprokshan Mahotsav at 11.54 am, as per the muhurtham fixed, during the Pushkaramsa Sumuhurtana of the Moola Nakshatra Vrishabha Lagna.
The auspicious ceremonies were conducted under the direct supervision of Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamy, the 31st Peethadhipathi of Vanamamalai Math. Later, Revanth Reddy offered prayers to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy along with his wife, chief secretary A Santhi Kumari and party leaders.
The gold-plated Vimana Gopuram at the Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is said to be the tallest, standing at nearly 55 feet, compared to Tirumala's 33-foot structure, in the country. Standing gloriously tall, officials of the temple said 68 kg of the yellow metal was used for the gold plating. Over 80 crore was spent on the gold plating.
The gopuram has further added to the aesthetics of the Yadagirigutta temple. Utmost care was taken in designing the gopuram. Religious heads, priests, and temple construction experts' suggestions were taken for the preparation of the gold-plated gopuram.
The gopuram of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta displays Nrisimhavataras, Lakshmi, Keshava Narayana, and Garudamurthy images. Yadagirigutta's golden gopuram is the tallest Swarna Gopuram in Telangana.

The dedication was part of the Maha Kumbhabhishek Samprokshan Mahotsav, conducted under the guidance of Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamy, with the CM and his wife participating in the rituals.
The Yadagirigutta temple's Vimana Gopuram stands at 55 feet, making it the tallest Swarna Gopuram in Telangana, surpassing Tirumala’s 33-foot structure.
Around 68 kg of gold was used for the plating, with an estimated cost of over ?80 crore, enhancing the temple’s grandeur.
The gopuram features intricate carvings of Nrisimhavataras, Lakshmi, Keshava Narayana, and Garudamurthy, designed with inputs from religious heads and temple construction experts.
