CJ: Suggested to enact advocates protection act
HYDERABAD : Telangana high court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe on Thursday revealed that the high court has recommended to the state govt to enact the Telangana Advocates Protection Act and hoped that it will soon become a reality.
He was addressing the legal fraternity on the high court premises after unfurling the national flag commencing the Independence Day celebrations. “Following a series of violent attacks on advocates, some of them fatal, the advocates groups have been demanding a law for their protection.
The same was conveyed to me by state bar council chairman A Narasimha Reddy,” the CJ said and revealed that he had sent his recommendation to the state govt.
A new website for the high court with additional facilities was launched by the CJ. He also announced that HC premises were now wifi-enabled. Justice Aradhe also informed that a dedicated RTI portal has now been launched.
The CJ revealed that an exclusive computer app will be launched soon to enable authorities to serve summons and also to execute warrants in criminal cases. “The issue of installation of the statue of BR Ambedkar, chief architect of Constitution, has been taken up with the state govt and I am confident that the same would be resolved shortly,” he said.
Narasimha Reddy thanked the CJ for responding to their request for an exclusive law for the protection of advocates.

Where can a person go and complain on the abusive liars? Is there a process that we can file a complaint in the court? There are so many unqualified, quack lawyers, deceiving customers .Read allPost comment
