HYDERABAD: Officials of the legal metrology department are conducting inspections at retail outlets of petrol and diesel for quality and quantity control all over the state. In a release on Sunday, Tejdeep Kaur Menon, controller, legal metrology, said that she had ordered the inspections and even visited a few outlets in the city to collect samples of petrol and diesel from underground tanks at the bunks.
In the state, 17 assistant controllers and 40 district inspectors have been dispatched to carry out inspections on petrol bunks. After checking, they will collect samples for laboratory analysis at the forensic lab, Menon added.
