City pays homage to braveheart

Over 300 people from all walks came together to mourn the unfortunate death of popular Hyderabadi biker Sana Iqbal and held a candlelight vigil near Sanjeeviah Park MMTS station in honour of the cross-country biker.
Sana’s mother, Shaheen Khan also attended the condolence meet along with family members and her daughter’s close friends. The meeting began at 6 pm by observing a three-minute silence in respect of the deceased rider.A pall of gloom descended over the venue as the family members and friends shared their memories of Hyderabad’s brave heart, who was one of the pioneering figures among women riders in city and rode across the country to spread awareness about depression and suicide.
During the vigil, the members of city’s biking community urged the authorities to conduct a fair investigation into the death of the 30-year-old. “We have assembled here to mourn Sana’s death and not to stage any protest. But we would urge the authorities to promptly investigate her death at the earliest,” said Pavan Goda, a city biker and Sana’s friend.
