HYDERABAD: Three miscreants who were involved in snatchings and two property receivers were arrested at Madan Khan Colony by the Humayun Nagar police on Saturday. They recovered 100 tolas of gold worth Rs 26 lakh from their possession.
In a press release, deputy commissioner of police (West Zone) G Sudheer Babu said a four-member gang and two of their receivers were wanted in 32 snatching cases registered at various police stations.
The arrested snatchers were identified as Mohammed Abdul Faheem, Abdul Sameer, Syed Abdul Nayeem while the receivers were Mohammed Abdul Kareem and Syed Shanawaz. However, one more member of the gang is at large.
"The gang members ride two-wheelers, target women at isolated locations and snatch their gold ornaments. The offenders had committed the crime near parks, temples and super markets," Sudheer Babu said.
