CBI seeks custody of KV Reddy

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials on Wednesday sought five day custody of KV Reddy, vice president of IND Bharat Energies (Maharashtra), who was arrested in connection with the Call Data Record (CDR) leakage involving Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Joint Director VV Lakshminarayana on Wednesday.

HYDERABAD: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials on Wednesday sought five day custody of KV Reddy, vice president of IND Bharat Energies (Maharashtra), who was arrested in connection with the Call Data Record (CDR) leakage involving Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Joint Director VV Lakshminarayana on Wednesday.
CID Public Prosecutor Dr K Ajay informed the magistrate that KV Reddy gave a complaint to Mukhed police station in Marathi language, which was written by a woman in Nanded and hence KV Reddy should be taken to various places in Maharashtra to identify the woman.

“To unearth the whole conspiracy, five days of police custody was sought in the CDR leakage case of Lakshminarayana. KV Reddy gave the police complaint as part of the cover up operation, at the behest of prime accused Raghu Rama Krishna Raju,” Ajay said. He also said that the conspiracy was done to malign the image of CBI JD. The orders in this case is expected to be pronounced on Thursday. Meanwhile, the anticipatory bails earlier moved by other accused- BSNL employee K Hanumanatha Rao and suspended Nacharam Inspector K Srinivas Rao- in the same case – is expected to come for hearing on August 3.
