engineer based in Visakhapatnam has been booked by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.

CBI filed an FIR under Prevention of Corruption Act against K Srirama Someswara Rao, an assistant engineer of

Military Engineering Service

in the office of chief engineer of Navy in Visakhapatnam, and his wife K Padmavathi.

CBI alleged that from 2011 to 2019 the accused official had amassed Rs 89 lakh, which was disproportionate to his income.

In 2011, Rao and his family were in possession of movable and immovable assets totalling Rs 5 lakh. Central agency said its investigation
