NAAC and NBA assessment are important for institution and institution departments for many reasons. Hence corrupt practices are common by majority institution and assessment teams to get highest grade and do a favour. UGC and AICTE are spectators not controlling such corrupt practices. While NAAC Peer Team Selection is by computerized system, as stated earlier by NAAC, how in this case members were selected by NAAC officials. This needs to be investigated by CBI. it is also said that you scratch my back and i will yours. This is happening as Peer Team Members many times known professionally with the faculty of the institutions they are visiting. This also lead to undue favour to institutions in granting grade. It is high time to undertake the cleaning of accreditation process by GOI MHRD. Unfortunately, this case reached CBI though there can be many such unreported cases of corruption and favour. UGC NAAC should randomly review institutions given higher and lower grades during last few years.Read allPost comment
