Car runs over private security guard

Hyderabad: A 45-year-old private security guard died in a road mishap at Madhapur on Saturday night.

The victim was E Ramanjaneyulu, 45, of Izzat Nagar in Kurnool. Ramanjaneyulu was working as a security guard at a private building in Madhapur.

The mishap occurred at 8 pm on Saturday while Ramanjaneyulu was walking on the Madhapur main road near the main gate of National Academy of Construction (NAC). The driver of a car (TS 07 UB 8761), Pavan Kumar, drove in a rash manner and hit the victim. With critical head injury, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed. Pavan was booked under IPC section 304-A.
