Call centre employee held for chain snatching in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A 22 year old private employee of a call centre, K Sandeep Chary, was arrested for committing six

chain snatching

cases. CCS Malkajgiri sleuths arrested Sandeep at Yapral X Roads on Thursday and recovered eight tola gold, a scooter and a bike, all worth Rs 4 lakh from his possession.

According to police, Sandeep incurred loss in cell phone shop business and he was arrested in a burglary case by Jawaharnagar police in January 2021.

After coming out of prison, Sandeep joined a call centre for Rs 16,000 monthly salary but due to alcohol addiction, started committing chain snatchings after looking up on the internet, Malkajgiri CCS police said.
